It wasn't just monsters last Thursday. It's - [ she takes a deep breath. she's fifteen, this is still tough for her. ] Xie Lian-san and Soo-won-san died - twice - before we made it back to town.

...you know, Soo-won told me about that. But you and Chiron experienced the same thing from the other side?

Archer-san and I were the ones fighting the monsters. Soo-won-san and Xie Lian-san said they were having some kind of nightmares. But when we found them, they had all the same wounds as the monsters did, so... I guess that's right, too.

Nightmares, huh...they must've been pretty bad, if they didn't react to being fought twice. I'm glad you all made it out of there though.

I don't know if it was that they didn't react, or more that they couldn't. They probably weren’t aware of what was really happening the first time, if they were seeing nightmares. But the second time…

[ isn’t something she likes to think about. after allowing herself just a moment of hesitation, ochako continues. ]

They were in their right minds, the second time.
